What is Mock Trial?
Great question, we get it all the time, don't worry! Mock Trial is a competition against two competing teams of six people each that consists of battling a fictitious court case. The case changes every season, and fluctuates between civil and criminal. We act and compete as both the Plaintiff/Prosecution and Defense. We are very public speaking and debate-oriented, but we are not Speech and Debate. We act as if we are lawyers and witnesses arguing the case given to us, on both sides.

How do I join a meeting for the first time?
We have our meetings every week; Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Tuesday and Thursday are at 6pm, and Sunday is at 2pm. They are always held on University of Nevada, Reno's campus, the only difference is what building or room it is held in. We usually meet at Ansari Business or the Joe Crowley Student Union. We have tables at all the club fairs, as well as follow-up informational meetings after we gauge interest. If you are interesting in coming to a meeting and checking us out, please feel more than free to reach out!

Do I need to pay to be apart of the team?
We have a $100 due for the year. If you cannot pay the dues, that's totally okay! We can work with you on when you can pay, as well as if you need to spread out payments.

Is the team interactive with campus life?
Absolutely! We are always on campus either hosting bake sales or events, along with being Chi Kappa's Legal Team.
